The Gift

So, this image I found (and forgive me if it is copyrighted, I am not using it for profit, just encouragement, until I can take one like it!) says it all, "Put your hand into the Hand of the One who stilled the water" goes the old gospel song. Lord may I always be putting not only my hands, heart, and soul into Your able nail scarred hands and letting Your wonderful Spirit work but those who may not know You yet.

Jesus said, "Though you are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more so will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to the ones who ask" – Luke 11:13

God uses a Catholic sister in my work

Over the last while, customer's have periodically phoned in to Canadian Baby Photographers to complain about me. Mainly because we have to work very quickly and having a sharp tongue by nature, they have misconstrued my professionalism and speed for abruptness and rudeness so I have to be dealt with by someone from home office. My hands get slapped and I am told not to do it again basically … until next time. This has been going on for almost ten years now!

Finally they found someone in the company with a little more wisdom and grace perhaps than most to help me. Lynn whose hubby escaped cancer through surgery and prayer recently and who goes "to mass every morning" before work. After her working with me, communicating, trying to understand just why this happens, after the third time this year she said to me, "Kent, why no try this, this is what I do when I have a hard time with people. "I just say, Lord, please send Your Holy Spirit to come between me and the people I meet"

Wow! When I do, there is so much peace and the shoot goes so smoothly! Thank you Lord for Lynn and her suggestion. You are amazing! So close, personal and involved when we simply invite our Pa Pa to show up through Him Who first loved us and Your wonderful Holy Spirit! Praise You!

Pray never ceasing

God has, ever since last week's terrible earthquake, has been giving me much liberty in my conversations and requests with Him on behalf of others and great peace has resulted! Thank you Lord for doing this in me, and I praise you for the miracles You are performing worldwide as you partner with many others as well in this wonderful work of Yours!

THIS is the work of God, to believe in the One Who He has sent - Jesus in John

Thoughts of an 18 year old Canadian missionary in Haiti

An old teacher friend and prayer partner sent me this blog yesterday and it captures just a smidgen of what God is doing in Haiti around the orphanage! Be touched: http://2setsoffootprints.blogspot.com/
